ABOUT THE HLPC

The HLPC is a health policy advocacy  organisation working with a  network of health law and policy experts - scientists, social scientists, medical practitioners, economists, legal practitioners, and public health experts working in and involved in the health care policy sector. The HLPC exist to facilitate a rights-based policy formulation, implementation and monitoring in Zimbabwe’s public health system. The HLPC seeks to work for the meaningful enjoyment of the right to health care (including reproductive health).

Zimbabwe Disregards WHO COVID-19 Quarantine Guidelines

HARARE - Zimbabwe's government has reduced the mandatory quarantine period for possible coronavirus cases by one-half. The government says it lacks the resources to take care of patients in isolation for the two-week period recommended by the World Health Organization

Woman (82) becomes 4th Zim Covid-19 death

AN 82-year-old woman from Mhondoro in Mashonaland West province has died of Covid-19, becoming the fourth citizen to die of the disease inside Zimbabwe since the outbreak of the world pandemic in the country last month.
